The rocks are as fear,
The fear feeds the roots
Man stands like a tree
But, the tree bares no fruit
The river runs through fear
Like the light separates the night
And in the darkness there is hope
Now the rocks cast as mountains that stand in our way
The river runs through fear, the light leads the way
Downward it falls and sprays upon the rocks
Then onward we go changed but, for not
The light pierce’s the black and the darkness is unveiled
The river all at once opens the truth you can see
In fear there’s no hope: the light has availed much
There’s truth in the light.
I was convinced the alcohol would overtake me; only Christ could save me.
Then Jesus spake again unto them, saying,I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
